The standard mouse is designed to fit into an average adult's
hand measuring 18.3 x 9.6 cm (7.2" x 3.8").
An eight-year-old child has, on average, a hand size of just 13.7 x 6.3 cm (5.4" x 2.5")*.
Consequently, the mouse that is supplied as standard with a computer is almost always too big and consequently can be difficult to handle for any youngster.
The Tiny Mouse is a robust little mouse and popular with younger children. It plugs into the USB port and has colour-coded left and right mouse buttons. Because it uses the USB interface it allows other USB and PS/2 mice to be plugged in to the same machine at the same time.
