A double-click should be performed in pretty much exactly half a second. If you find this difficult to achieve then you can change the setting in Windows. There are also options to completely turn off double-clicking.
In all versions of Microsoft Windows press and hold the Windows Key and press R. Type main.cpl and press ENTER.
In this dialog box you can use a slider to slow down the required speed for double-clicking. You can then practice your double-clicking in the jack-in-the-box or yellow folder in the test area.
